Everybody Wins! DC (EW!DC) is the largest children's literacy and mentoring organization in the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan Area, reaching more than 3,000 students in 30 Title I public elementary schools. The 12-year-old nonprofit operates three innovative programs – Power Lunch, Readers Are Leaders and StoryTime – that have a proven impact on students’ lives. For example, a U.S. Department of Education-sponsored evaluation of the Power Lunch program found that, according to teachers, Everybody Wins! students who read below grade level showed increased enthusiasm for books and improved both their academic performance and their classroom behavior.
